The following is a list of financial documents you
may wish to collect and be prepared to present to
the beneficiary or authorized agent when discussing
options for avoiding foreclosure:
Books or records of earnings and expenses;
Financial statements;
Federal Income Tax Returns;
Paystubs and/or other evidence of income;
Proof of insurance on the subject property;
Appraisal on the subject property, if any; and
Complaints (lawsuits), judgments, or liens against
you.
You have the right to request a meeting to occur
within fourteen days of your request during your
initial contact. The purpose of the meeting is to
assess your financial ability to repay the debt and
to discuss your options to avoid foreclosure. Your
meeting may occur telephonically after requesting
the same. If you have designated a
department-certified housing counseling agency,
attorney, or other advisor to discuss with the
beneficiary or authorized agent, on your behalf,
options for you to avoid foreclosure, you must
inform the beneficiary or authorized agent and
provide the contact information so that a meeting
may be scheduled. |
